Description
These giant bees take the key role in the conservation of the evergreen and shola forest by pollinating most of the floras. These bees build their hives in the mountain cliffs and tall trees. A comb will have 25000 to 80000 of the rock bees. They create their hives on the heights to avoid predators. Due to the height they have to face the coldness of the forest and to make themself warm and keep the nectar liquid they buzzle around. These rock bees are very hostile and aggressive, thus harvesting the honey from them is a magical technique developed by forest dwelling tribal communities. Tribal communities understand the requirements of the honey bees in the forest. They’ve deviced a sustainable method of honey harvesting. We are helping the communities to preserve the technique and improve the outcome of sustainability not harming the bee population.
